"Know Your Rights"
How to deal with image rights
9.30am - 5.00pm, Wednesday 3rd June 2009
Room 6, Conference Level, Maritim International Congress Centre, Ostraufer 2, Dresden, Germany
In association with Alinari, BAPLA, Bridgeman and Collections Trust and held in conjunction with the CEPIC Congress 2009
The final international MILE conference focused on two key metadata issues which affect daily business; image piracy and the practical application of copyright metadata.
KNOW YOUR RIGHTS focused on trying to improve the security of digital images online by showcasing and discussing potential solutions to image piracy with technological developments such as digital watermarking and image tracking. Image piracy is an ongoing issue for digital image libraries, who suffer loss of revenue and content value as a result. Alongside this, the conference also examined the construction of a standard credit line as a means of supporting the import and export of images, and streamlining the workflow process.
